Installation Support Center:
How to Avoid Delays in Establishing Connectivity

  1. Provide a contact for DSL.net and the Local Telephone Company to coordinate with during this time. Not providing an onsite contact can cause unnecessary delays in the processing and installation of your broadband line. Make sure this contact knows where the Network Interface Device (NID) or Minimal Point of Entry (MPOE) is located. Both the Local Telephone Company and our field technician will need to gain access to this in order to connect the data line. Most often these devices are located where the Telephone Company delivers all voice and data services to your building.

  2. Provide DSL.net a telephone number for the location where the data line is to be delivered. If you provide telephone numbers other than one at the location, we will not be able to place the order with the Local Telephone Company. Cell phones and remote location telephone numbers will NOT work.

  3. Provide DSL.net with the location address as it appears on your telephone bill. This is the most accurate way for us to ensure a smooth order placement with the Telephone Company.

  4. If you need to re-schedule either the Local Telephone Company's installation or the equipment installation, please do so upon our notification to you of these dates. Each time a date is rescheduled, the turn-up of your service will be delayed by as much as 10 business days.
